The palace was enlarged at the request of King Stanislaw August Poniatowski in the years 1772-1793 on the basis of the so-called. Bathrooms Lubomirski, designed and built in the years 1680-1690 by Tylman van Gameren for the Great Crown Marshal Stanisław Lubomirski Heraclius. The newly built palace was the summer residence of the king in 1775. Here in the summer took place organized by the ruler of Thursday's lunch. In the years 1788-1793 the palace was extended in the classical style, designed by Dominik Merlini. The authors of pictorial and sculptural decorations were: Marcello and John Bacciarelli Plersch.
